Mary was raised in Wakefield, attending Wakefield public schools. She then went on to receive her bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Massachusetts College of Art, graduating with honors in Art Education. She taught art at Masconomet Regional High School and in the Methuen public schools before launching a mural business. She opened the studio in 2009, where she has been happily painting and teaching ever since.

Taggart Studio is an independent art studio offering art instruction primarily in the areas of drawing and painting. The emphasis at the studio is on building skills in the essential art concepts of composition, form, line, value and color. A warm and supportive environment encourages creativity and personal expression. Classes are open to beginners and more experienced artists alike, for both children and adults.

The studio is also available for private functions such as birthday parties, private gatherings, bookgroups, etc.- contact me for additional information.
